Best Brunch in Prague
Prague has become one of the hottest tourist destinations in the world in recent years.
Its reputation is built on a rich historical and cultural foundation, as well as a very modern nightlife scene. Prague attracts millions of people from around the world. It’s the fourth most-visited European city after London, Paris and Rome. The architectural splendour of its UNESCO World Heritage historic centre and the variety of cultural activities make it a wonderful destination for an intimate getaway. But when you’ve had a blissful evening strolling through the beautiful streets of Prague and have enjoyed a wild overnight, how do you best charge yourself up for another day with your Prague escort companion? Here’s our guide to the best places for brunch in Prague.
There’s not really anywhere more romantic for brunch in Prague than the Café Savoy. It has been open since the 19th Century and has a spectacular Neo-Renaissance ceiling complete with chandeliers. It’s quite unlike any cafe you’ve ever been to before. One word of warning, you won’t be able to just decide on a whim to get brunch here. It is generally required to book upfront because of its popularity with both locals and tourists. However, with a variety of sweet and savoury traditional treats on offer, it’s a brunch neither of you will forget in a hurry.
There are actually five Bottega bistros across Prague and all of them offer something special. Bottega Linka in the new town has the nicest interiors. The Bottega Gastronomica is the best for sitting outdoors in the summer. Bottega Bistroteka and Bottega di Finestra are conveniently located for heading to the major tourist attractions after you’ve had a bite to eat. The food on offer is top-quality Italian cuisine. Expect lots of pancetta and prosciutto with eggs cooked in a variety of ways. Whichever Bottega you choose; you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to what to eat there.
Good luck trying to pronounce the name of this cafe if you need to ask for direction. If you get close enough you should be able to follow your nose because it serves the most delicious Czech pastries you could imagine. You can find it in the Malá Strana district and has a very quaint feel if you want to avoid the more touristy places. You will also find a very authentic kind of Czech breakfast that the locals eat.
